Two pieces of news: the good one is that two interesting features will be added to the encyclopedia:
Monsters – You can see what loot drops from monsters. Question marks indicate loot that has not yet been discovered.
Items – You can see which items the player has not yet discovered.
The second piece of news, the bad one, is that because of all this, the update will be delayed. What’s more, I’m still waiting for language translations – there are about 400 new lines of text x15 languages. That’s about 6000 lines. I have most of them already.
I am currently in the testing phase of the new game modes “New Game+” and achievements.
I think the update will be released at the end of March, beginning of April – I don’t plan to add any new things anymore 🙂
I present to you the last major new features in Almora Darkosen 1. After this update there will be no more new things, only technical updates.
Of course the game will also be released on PC and Nintendo Switch, but this doesn’t mean changes in the game itself.
What can we expect in the upcoming update?
New game modes + There will be 7 different modes to complete, with different difficulties and rewards for completing them. It’s still the same game, the same story, just with a different gameplay variants.
Achievements 50 different achievements to earn, most of them can be rewarded. Some are public, some are hidden.
Game Statistics All player statistics: number of monsters killed, damage dealt and received, amount of gold collected and many, many more…
This update is necessary to release the game on PC, and what’s more it will be a version on Steam / SteamDeck. So, I can’t imagine playing on Steam without the achievement system 🙂
As I mentioned, this will be the last major update and after its release I will devote all my time to Almora Darkosen 2.
The update for AD1 should be ready by the end of February 2025. See you soon!
2024 was a really busy time for me. Although I’m working on Almora Darkosen 2, there were a lot of big updates for Almora Darkosen 1.
Over the year, about 500,000 new players joined, which gives us almost 2,000,000 downloads! This is a really great result:

You write a lot of opinions from all over the world, in different languages (good thing there’s Google Translator 😊). Thank you very much for all of them, especially the constructive ones, which had a huge impact on the development of the game, because I take each of them seriously and analyze them all thoroughly. I reply to almost all of your opinions, because I know how important the game community is. How important you are – the players, because without you, there is no Almora Darkosen!
Thank you for your emails and Discord messages, you are very willing to help other players, you write a lot of suggestions, I am really grateful to you for that. By helping others, you relieve my work and give me the opportunity to further develop new projects.

Thank you for your involvement! I did not think that Almora Darkosen would steal your hearts so much! For me, as a creator, there is no better Christmas present than such a great result.
Let’s recall the most important features that were added in 2024:
– Gamepad support! (end of 2023, beginning of 2024) – Correct screen proportions! (no more display stretching!) – Ability to increase/decrease attack buttons – Inventory – drag & drop system! – Skills – drag & drop system – Marked quests on the world map – Slowing down the character when entering the enemy, instead of blocking – Minimap – an arrow indicating the direction of the quests – Loading the entire game at the start – no lag between locations – Android 14 support And a ton of numerous fixes and changes! It wasn’t easy, because each of these functions required a lot of testing and fixes. Nevertheless, everything worked out and we currently have a stable version 1.1.87 (in the Android version).
I still have a lot of work ahead of me, because I’m working on Almora Darkosen 2 in parallel, and soon the first part will get a few more new features:
– Additional game modes (difficulty levels – “NEW GAME+”) – Achievements – PC version of the game (Steam), SteamDeck, Nintendo Switch

New version is out for Android and iOS. This is one of the last big updates before Almora Darkosen 2. Yes I am working on both – hard life of developer 🙂 The next step ( because of gamepad support ) is to make GUI 1:1 ( not streched ) and port the game for NintendoSwitch, SteamDeck, Playstation 4/5 and Xbox Series.
